Discover strength gains proven to extend your life.
I know what you’re thinking: “Another gym email trying to convince me to spend money on training.”
Yep. That’s exactly what this is.

But before you roll your eyes and go back to pricing pergolas or booking your third holiday this year – read this.
You’ve probably heard the stat that strength training is good for you. But how good?
Let me hit you with something that
actually matters.
A 2022 meta-analysis published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine reviewed data from over 250,000 participants. It found that just 30 to 60 minutes of strength training per week was associated with a 10–20% reduction in all-cause mortality.
That’s cancer.
That’s heart disease.
That’s all the top
killers.
Gone down by 20% – just from picking up a few heavy things a couple times a week.
That same analysis showed even stronger links with preventing cardiovascular disease, diabetes and depression. Not convinced yet?
Another study in The Lancet found that low muscle mass and strength are directly linked to earlier
death, independent of weight or BMI.
In other words, you can be skinny and still be dying early if you’ve got the grip strength of a Victorian ghost.
Now here’s what’s wild.
We know all this. You know it. I know it. But people still won’t train.
They’ll drop €50k on a
car, €2k on a weekend away, €100 on a round of cocktails and then say they “can’t afford training.”
Bollocks. You just don’t want to invest in something you can’t show off right away.
A new watch? Flashy.
A fresh set of veneers? Sexy.
A solid squat and a functioning spine?
Not quite Insta-worthy… until you’re 60 and still moving like a 30-year-old.
The truth is this:
Your body is the only asset that depreciates faster than your couch if you ignore it. And the only one that gets more valuable the more you put into it.
You NEED to train.
Not because you want to look good on holidays (although that’s a bonus). But because your life
literally depends on it. The problem?
People don’t die from not training. They just decay slowly. Joint by joint. Muscle by muscle. Function by function.
Until they’re 65, riddled with preventable issues, and finally realise what the gym was actually for.
But by then? It’s not too late — just a hell of a
lot harder.
So yeah. Buy your solar panels. Put down your €5k deposit for a car you’ll hate in 2 years.
But if your legs can’t hold you up or your back goes every time you sneeze…
Maybe it’s time to reprioritise.
