The most popular thing people are searching for on the internet these days is the ‘Best fat loss tip’ or ‘How to lose weight fast’. Well in my field anyway, people might be googling Justin Beiber or Jedward or some other crap a little more but you get my point.
This is great, people want to lose fat and lead a healthier lifestyle. They want to start eating healthy and maybe even take up an exercise program or start with a personal trainer.
Or do they? Is it just a quick fix they are after?
I should probably start pissing and moaning at you saying there is no quick fix and you need to change your lifestyle and eat better and begin a regular exercise routine and all that crap but im tired of saying that to everyone.
Sadly, there is a quick fix. I hate to admit it but it’s true.
This will change the way you eat forever.
Your portions will fix themselves, you will not eat any crap.
You won’t even want to eat crap. The craving will be there but you won’t eat it. It’s almost like a magic pill.
It’s not expensive either, it only costs a few euros and 5 minutes of your time every day.
Yep, thats right, you can lose fat easily and consistently in just 5 minutes a day and it only costs a couple of measly euros.
5 Minute abs if you will…
Last time I checked you can get this magic fat loss tool in ANY shop too. You might already have one.
Drum roll please…
It’s a small notepad.
That’s it.
Don’t worry I don’t want you to eat one of these for breakfast every morning.
All you have to do is this. WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN. Why?
1. You really don’t realise what you are eating and you definitely don’t realise how much you’re eating right now unless you write it down.
2. Helps you realise that your ‘diet’ is probably already boring so even if we give you a ‘boring’ nutritional plan its probably more exciting than your current one.
3. You will be more hesitant to cheat on your diet if you know you have to write it down in that notepad. The shame would gnaw away at you
4. If you manage to lose a few pounds one week or gain some another week you have a record of where you went right or wrong and you can just copy that good week and make sure the bad one doesn’t happen again.
It seems simple but it makes perfect sense and its absolutely foolproof.
Trust me.
It’s very difficult to write down the following and think there is nothing wrong. Unless, of course, you are completely delusional.
0800 – Corn flakes
1030 – Can of coke and crisps
1300 – Big smelly sandwich and ‘low fat’ latte
1730 – Fish and Chips (because it was a hard day in work)
1800 -[really lazy, really really crap workout]
1930 – Lucozade after workout (because you need the sugar of course)
2100 – Take away (because you earned it in the gym)
2230 – Tea and biscuits (sure what harm can one or two biscuits do?)
Well, I guess I’ll end it there. Go do a food diary and you don’t even need to see a personal trainer… at least for the time being. You see, nutrition is 80%+ of the pie at the beginning of your fat loss journey.
Yep, training will cause less than 20% of your fat loss results, in the beginning anyway. As you progress, training will become more of a factor as fat loss slows down. In order to accurately track your progress book in for a bodyfat assessment in The ABS Gym.
